Vibrant Paebaek Ceremony at Hangar 21 South

Hanna buttoned up her dress in the Bridal Suite at Hangar 21 South with help from her mother before stepping out to show her bridesmaids the complete look. Excitement filled each bridesmaid’s face as Hannah stood before them in an elegant a-line wedding gown. Her veil brushed the floor as she did a full 360 spin to show off the sleek open back of her dress. They then headed downstairs to the tarmac for Minsu and Hanna’s first look. In the span of just a few minutes walking to Minsu, Hanna experienced overwhelming emotions of love and with a tap on the shoulder her soon to be husband turned around with warmth in his eyes. Minsu grabbed Hanna for a sweet hug and kiss before the groomsmen and bridesmaids came over to join them. Each groomsman wore  a classic black suit with white undershirt and black tie while the bridesmaids wore long, black dresses to match. While the group was taking photos on the tarmac, guests were entering the side patio and finding a seat for the ceremony that was about to begin.

Geometric shapes stood tall centerstage acting as a ceremony backdrop on the side patio. Three bouquets of white and green flowers decorated the backdrop installation to add a pop of color. Once everyone was seated, Minsu and his groomsmen were first to the stage followed by the bridesmaids and lastly, Hanna. The bride and groom exchanged heartfelt vows and engaged in a tree planting ceremony before saying “I do.” The crowd stood and clapped as the newlyweds were pronounced husband and wife and Hanna and Minsu left the ceremony filled with joy.

While the bride and groom were off on their helicopter ride, guests indulged in delicious cocktail hour menu items. Crab Cakes and Chicken Jalapeno Empanadas were individually plated for guests to grab at their leisure and the bar was mixing up Hanna and Minsu’s signature cocktails: The Hawaiian Mule and Old Fashioned. Cocktail hour finished up just as the sun was going down and everyone turned to the horizon to see Hanna and Minsu touchdown form their flight over Orange County. The bride and groom made their grand entrance into their first dance inside the main hangar. After their dance, the two participated in a traditional, vibrant Paebaek ceremony before heading into dinner.

A menu of BBQ Pulled Pork, Sliced Beef Brisket, Garlic Mashed Potatoes, Mac and Cheese Station, BBQ Chopped Salad, and Cornbread Muffins with honey butter selected by our talented Event Specialist, Patti, and the bride and groom, was served to hungry guests as friends and family toasted to the happy couple. After dinner, the cake was cut and bouquet and garter were tossed. The dance floor became a popular spot along with the photo booth where everyone made memories to last a lifetime before saying their goodbyes and heading home.
