Tropical Inspired Wedding at a Modern Venue

Chic, modern, tropical and black tie are all words that perfectly encompass Paige and Danny’s wedding day at Hangar 21 South. By the time the bridal party arrived, the courtyard stage was decorated with geometric golden pillars covered in orchids and lush palm and monstera leaves. Tall glass vessels filled with white hydrangeas and orchids lined the aisle where Paige and Danny were about to make their appearance. Guests filled the surrounding seats and music began playing as Danny walked out followed by bridesmaids and groomsmen and ending with Paige. Paige wore a gorgeous lace wedding gown that had a long train about the same length as her veil. She hugged her father then stood next to her future husband as the officiant opened the ceremony. The bride and groom recited traditional vows, broke bread, and exchanged rings before concluding the ceremony with a sweet kiss as husband and wife.

Cocktail hour on the tarmac consisted of Filet and Wild Mushroom Wellingtons, Caprese Skewers, and light beverage while the newlyweds took off on their helicopter flight over Orange County. Upon Paige and Danny’s return, guests had their eyes glued to the helicopter’s touchdown with phones out capturing it all. The bride and groom’s first dance was shared on the tarmac before opening Hangar 21 South’s large sliding doors to expose what awaited everyone inside. Tables were draped in black linens and topped with tall, tropical floral arrangements. Gold rimmed plates and utensils marked each place setting and atop each plate were cookies as thank you gifts from the bride and groom. Toasts were shared just before tables were served dinner. After dinner, the bride and groom shared dances with their families, and then were joined by everyone else. Between all the dancing, Paige and Danny stepped away to cut their 3-tiered wedding cake and guests who had worked up an appetite on the dance floor were encouraged to grab a slice for dessert. The bouquet toss was a hit and the evening ended with the entire crowd dancing to the cha cha slide.
