Some Enchanted Eventing – A McCoy Rigby Arts Gala

For Some Enchanted Evening, we’d like to take you on a trip to an island in the South Pacific where the air is warm, the sky and oceans are blue, and beautiful greenery surrounds you. The cocktails and fun will overflow, and you’ll wish the night would never end. But for this night, you won’t have to travel very far because it all takes place at Hangar 21.Tropical-inspired lounges and entryways, created by Sundrop Vintage and Green Effect, set the theme.

Guests were greeted in true island fashion on the tarmac with signature Mai Tai’s as they silently bid on weekend getaways, signed memorabilia and gifts. Live acoustic melodies, and savory tray passed bites of fresh Thai spring rolls and warm crab cakes topped with mango papaya salsa, provided a simple taste of the night ahead.

The curtain raised (or shall we say- the hangar door), and the show began. A custom plated dinner started with a refreshing pomegranate salad, followed by the main course, an island native, Huli Huli chicken- marinated in a pineapple juice mixture and grilled to perfection. Yumm! And no meal is complete without a perfectly-paired dessert, a pineapple upside down cake and pina colada key lime dessert shot to finish.

The night was filled with unforgettable performances, both amateur and professional. Photographer Austin Bauman captured the energy and excitement so well.
