Ronald McDonald House Gala at Hangar 21 South

Guests pulled up to Hangar 21 South for the Ronald McDonald House speakeasy themed gala and were greeted with champagne and live music. Vintage inspired lounge vignettes and centerpieces filled the tarmac and silent auction items were set up on the side patio for everyone to bid on. Tray passed Filet and Wild Mushroom Wellingtons, Asiago and Artichoke Stuffed Mushrooms, Deviled Eggs, and Glazed Pear with Goat Cheese Tarts made their rounds while lines formed at our Melt Bar and Mashed Potato and Jack Daniels Chicken Martini Bar. Lemon Drop Martinis were the signature drink of the evening, but guests also enjoyed other cocktails, wine, and beer. Once everyone had arrived, bid on the silent auction items, and filled up on appetizers, they headed inside the hangar for the live auction.

Tables were topped with empty whiskey bottles, feathers, books, and flowers to match the speakeasy theme. Once everyone was seated, welcome speeches and introductions were announced, then the live auction began. Guests held up their bid cards and competed to get their favorite prizes. While the bid wars continued, trays of Vegetarian, Turkey, Roast Beef, and Ham Palm Sandwiches were enjoyed at each table.  After dinner and the live auction, guests were invited to enjoy our Classic Dessert Station with a selection of Raspberry. Chocolate Decadence Cakes, Fresh Fruit Tarts, Vanilla Bean Chocolate Eclairs, Honey Lavender Macarons, and French Apple Tarts. From hors d’oeuvres to desserts, the evening’s menu was selected with help from our event specialist, Patti. After filling up on something sweet, the night ended with everyone out on the dance floor showing off their best moves.
