Pink and Green Tropical Wedding

After getting ready at a nearby hotel, Stephanie and Jonathan arrived at Hangar 21 South with their wedding party. Making sure to stay separated until the ceremony, Jonathan and his groomsmen claimed the tarmac and Stephanie and her bridesmaids took the bridal suite for photos. Each groomsman wore a charcoal suit and pink tie, and the groom wore light grey. The bridesmaids were dressed in pink and the bride was in a white, lace dress. Bouquets and boutonnieres matched with lush green leaves and pink florals tying into the tropical theme perfectly. Once group photos were done, the wedding party lined up for ceremony.

Guests entered the side patio, signed Stephanie and Jonathan’s guest book, and took a seat. A table was placed centerstage with unity candles and a circular backdrop covered in tropical flowers and greenery completed the setup. With everyone in attendance, music cued up and Jonathan began his walk down the aisle followed by the groomsmen and bridesmaids and ending with Stephanie. During the leafy lined aisle walk, both the bride and groom shed a few tears as it was their first time seeing each other. The tears subsided when the two were side by side, and smiles filled their faces. In front of their closest friends and family, the couple read handwritten vows, lit their unity candle, exchanged rings, and sealed the ceremony with a kiss. Everyone cheered as the newlyweds exited into cocktail hour.

Stephanie and Jonathan were welcomed into cocktail hour with their signature drinks, a Paloma and Adios, and Crab Cake and Thai Chicken Spring Roll hors d’oeuvres. Guests followed right behind them, and many hugs were shared. The bar was mixing up more signature cocktails, pouring wine, and cracking open beers as guests gathered on the tarmac. While everyone mixed and mingled, the newlyweds headed over to our helicopter for their flight over Orange County. A few photos were taken, then they were off! Their wedding guests watched them takeoff, and soon after, land and make their grand entrance into reception.

Everyone cheered as Stephanie and Jonathan made their way onto the dance floor for their first dance as husband and wife, and just as their dance ended, the hangar doors opened revealing the reception inside. Tables were topped with white linen and tropical floral arrangements added pops of color around the space. The bride and groom took a seat at their sweetheart table, thanked their guests for coming, and invited everyone to enjoy dinner. A menu of Huli Huli Chicken, Sliced Beef Brisket, Pineapple Fried Rice, Hawaiian Style Potato Macaroni Salad, and Papaya Salad picked by the bride and groom with help from our Event Specialist, Brittany, filled everyone’s plates just in time for toasts. Family and friends stood and shared their favorite memories of the bride and groom and clinked glasses to celebrate. Afterwards, cake was cut and served to guests with a sweet tooth. While everyone enjoyed dessert, entertainment took place on the tarmac dance floor. Hula dancers and fire dancers took the ‘stage’ for an exciting performance, then Stephanie joined and performed a dance for Jonathan. Guests oohed and aahed at the sentimental moment, then joined in on the fun and hit the dance floor to end the night.
