Hoosier Holiday Party

‘Tis the season for holiday festivities and closing out the year on a joyful note! Hoosier did just that and brought the holiday spirit for their company party at Hangar 21 South by decking the halls for an end of year feast. From installs to catering, every detail encompassed Christmas cheer and the New Year.

After a day of decorating, Hangar 21 South looked like a modern North Pole. Sparkle cutouts and Christmas trees hung from the ceiling - yes, full sized Christmas trees - and disco balls were attached at each tree trunk. Black balloons decorated a wooden install that was cut into present, Christmas tree, sparkle, and arch shapes and green uplighting illuminated the venue. Emerald green, black and white lounge spaces were set up inside the hangar and out on the tarmac. Two green armchairs, a black sofa, and matching ottomans were placed next to the black and green plaid dance floor inside. Modern gold side tables and a marble coffee table were topped with festive floral arrangements and white pillows added a cozy element to each seat. The tarmac lounge was larger in size with 3 sofas; one white, one black and one emerald in color. A fire pit table sat atop a white rug providing heat for the chilly evening along with throw blankets and pillows. Real Christmas trees, fresh floral arrangements, disco balls, and small Christmas tree table toppers completed the design for this lounge, but the icing on the cake was the helicopter backdrop and beautiful sunset view with string lights hanging above. Deviled Eggs were arranged on trays as hors d’oeuvres before dinner and each lounge was the perfect place to sit back and relax with a drink upon entry to the holiday party. Guests flocked to the photo moment near Hangar’s ticket booth that was lit up in neon lights that read, “fa la la,” and you guessed it, more Christmas trees decorated the space! Nearby, an even bigger “FALALA” sign in marquee lights stood tall in front of a helicopter. Needless to say, there were plenty of photogenic backdrops.

Once everyone had arrived, guests made their way to the tables surrounding the dance floor. Each table was draped in either emerald velvet or black and gold geometric print linens. Small Christmas tree sculptures topped every table and garland and fresh flower center pieces completed the tablescape. Introductions, thank yous, and speeches were made, then dinner was served. Old Fashioned Glazed Ham, Herb Roasted Boneless Turkey Breast, Au Gratin Potatoes, Fresh Vegetable Medley, Cornbread Stuffing, and Apple Walnut Salad. The holiday inspired menu was encouraged by our Event Specialist, Sierra, and guests raved over the food. After dinner, an Old Fashioned Cookie Assortment and Eleanor’s Famous Carrot Cake were available for those wanting dessert. Raffles, mingling, and a photo booth consumed the remainder of the holiday party and everyone left filled with holiday cheer.
