Eternal Love at Hangar 21 South

After buttoning up the back of Nicole’s wedding dress, her bridesmaids went downstairs at Hangar 21 South for the big reveal. As Nicole made her way down the staircase, cheers filled the air and hugs were shared as she reached the bottom. A quick trip to the tarmac led Nicole to her father for their first look. Tears filled her father’s eyes when he turned to see his daughter dressed in white. The two had an emotional exchange that ended with a warm embrace. Meanwhile, up in the Mezzanine, Derek and his groomsmen were suiting up for the wedding ceremony then headed for the tarmac for group photos after Nicole and her father concluded their first look. The groomsmen wore light grey suits with black ties and Derek wore a black tux with matching bow tie. After the guys gathered, the girls took over for pre-ceremony group photos. Each bridesmaid wore a black maxi dress with matching black heels and held bouquets of white and rust colored flowers. With a few clicks of the camera, group photos came to an end and the bridal party lined up for the wedding ceremony.

The outdoor patio stage was set with a gold circle arbor decorated in pink, red, white and rust flowers, greenery and pampas. As soon as seats were filled, the bridal party made their way down the aisle and onto the stage. Derek was all smiles until his bride turned the corner. As much as he tried to hold himself together, his love for Nicole overcame him and tears were shed not just by him, but by groomsmen, bridesmaids, friends and family. Nicole’s father handed her over to Derek and the ceremony started with a group prayer blessing the newlyweds and their future together. Handwritten vows were spoken by Nicole and Derek that drew laughs and smiles from guests, then the two took a moment alone on stage to break bread. After, Nicole and Derek were pronounced husband and wife and they shared a kiss while everyone stood and cheered them on.

Guests found their way over to individually plated Bruschetta al Pomodoro, Lemon Parmesan Artichoke Hearts, and Ellie’s Parmesan Meatballs during cocktail hour and the bar was shaking up the newlywed’s signature cocktails, a Whiskey Sour and Moscow Mule. Nicole and Derek made their way over to a helicopter on the tarmac for their flight over Orange County as cocktail hour was wrapping up, taking off during golden hour and landing when the sun had set. The two ran from the helicopter with excitement after their flight, and into their first dance as husband and wife. Everyone oohed and aahed as Derek twirled around his bride before taking their seats for dinner. A delicious menu of Italian Lasagna, Tortellini with Creamy Pesto, Caesar Salad, and Grilled Marinated Vegetables was on the menu that the bride and groom, along with our Event Specialist, Brittany, pre-selected for this special evening. While everyone was enjoying dinner, toasts were shared to honor the newlyweds and wish them well on their lifelong journey together. After dinner, the bouquet was tossed and everyone headed to the dancefloor to showoff their moves before indulging in something sweet for dessert. A vintage car pulled up to the front of Hangar 21 South with “Just Married” written on the back and cans clinking behind the tires. Everyone formed a tunnel outside with sparklers and the bride and groom made their final exit.
